Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support analytical solutions across the BeNeLux region. The role covers GC, LC and Mass Spectrometry systems with field-based, remote work in Belgium.

The candidate will perform installations, maintenance, training, and service for PerkinElmer instruments at customer sites and overseas offices, ensuring high standards of documentation and quality management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or compatible discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a related Field Service role or similar field.
• Full clean driving license.
• Proficient in English; Dutch and/or French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service and routine maintenance, including repairs, installation, and validation of instrumentation and accessories.
• Provide onsite user training on defined product groups.
• Conduct service for PerkinElmer overseas offices and overseas customer sites to the same high standard.
• Ensure all documentation, circuit diagrams, Service Data Bulletins and manuals are the correct revisions for specific instrument types.
• Maintain ancillary documentation such as Safety Manual and Procedures Manual to the highest standard, reviewing them regularly per Quality Management System.
• Align personal working practices with departmental performance targets and demonstrate compliance with all team goals.
• Manage service spares and inventory records to the highest standard.
• Report and resolve anomalies promptly and effectively.
• Confirm that all tools and test equipment are adequate for service and that all test equipment is calibrated as specified.
• Submit weekly service documentation, including Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Claims, Motor Vehicle Log Sheets, etc.
• Execute additional tasks as defined through Goal statements embedded in company culture.
