Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 2 years post‑related experience.
• Alternative: 6+ years extensive, progressive experience in duties related to the function of the post.
• Expert knowledge of network security monitoring and enterprise security monitoring environments.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed security monitoring deployments.
• Experience with security monitoring tools integrated with SIEM/SOAR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain network visibility and security monitoring capabilities to support CSOC operations.
• Act as SME for operation, configuration, and lifecycle management of monitoring and packet capture technologies.
• Manage lifecycle of monitoring platforms including deployment, upgrades, obsolescence, and decommissioning.
• Configure and optimize monitoring, traffic aggregation, and packet capture for reliable data collection and analysis.
• Monitor platform health, data quality, retention, storage utilization, and operational performance.
• Identify visibility gaps and address threats impacting detection and security operations.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, inventories, procedures and support information.
• Troubleshoot Linux, network, connectivity, and data collection issues across the monitoring environment.
• Support design and implementation of monitoring solutions aligned with CSOC requirements.
• Assist integration with wider security operations, analytics, and incident management.
