Spektrum in Mons, Belgium is seeking a CSOC Engineer to administer and enhance enterprise cyber defense tools, ensuring robust network visibility and threat detection across NATO-related environments.

The role requires expert knowledge in security monitoring, packet capture, and enterprise networking, with strong Linux troubleshooting skills and English proficiency. On-site work with potential travel to NCIA locations is involved.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience, or 6+ years of extensive, progressive relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of network security monitoring, cyber defense operations, and enterprise security monitoring environments.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring and packet capture platforms (Cisco Firepower, Corelight, NetWitness).
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux, network, and data collection issues.
• Language proficiency in English: NATO STANAG 6001 Level 3 or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and maintain network visibility and security monitoring capabilities for CSOC operations.
• Act as SME for operation, configuration, and lifecycle management of security monitoring and packet capture tech.
• Manage lifecycle of monitoring platforms: deployment, upgrades, obsolescence, decommissioning.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring, traffic aggregation, and data collection.
• Monitor platform health, data quality, retention, and performance.
• Identify visibility gaps affecting threat detection or security operations.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, inventories, processes, and support info.
• Troubleshoot Linux and network issues across the monitoring environment.
