NCIA Agency in Belgium seeks an experienced CSOC professional to administer and enhance enterprise cyber defense tools for network visibility, threat detection and hunting. You will serve as a subject matter expert for monitoring and packet capture across multiple sites, ensuring reliable operations and alignment with security objectives.

The role requires hands-on expertise with monitoring platforms, Linux networking, and excellent communication.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 2 years post-related experience, or 6+ years equivalent expertise.
• Expert knowledge of network security monitoring, cyber defense operations, and enterprise security monitoring environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience supporting large-scale, distributed security monitoring deployments across networks/sites.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring and packet capture platforms (Cisco Firepower, Corelight, NetWitness).
• Proven experience in platform health monitoring, performance monitoring, capacity management, troubleshooting, and governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with network visibility, traffic aggregation, packet brokers, packet capture.
• Advanced understanding of enterprise networking concepts, protocols, architectures, data flows.
• Linux and network troubleshooting experience; site surveys and deployment activities.
• Knowledge of security telemetry collection, event correlation, threat detection, and threat hunting.
• Good communication and analytical skills; English proficiency (NATO STANAG 6001 Level 3).
• Certifications in cyber security (CISM, CISSP, GIAC Security).
• Nice to have: experience designing large-scale security monitoring networks; SIEM/SOAR integration; automation.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain enterprise cyber defense tools for network security monitoring, threat detection and threat hunting.
• Act as SME for operation, configuration and lifecycle management of monitoring and packet capture tech.
• Manage deployment, upgrades, obsolescence, and decommissioning of monitoring platforms.
• Configure and optimize monitoring, traffic aggregation and data collection for reliable analysis.
• Monitor platform health, data quality, retention, storage, and performance.
• Identify visibility gaps affecting threat detection and operations.
• Document architecture, inventories, procedures and support information.
• Troubleshoot Linux, network, connectivity, performance and data collection issues.
• Support design/implementation of security monitoring solutions aligned with CSOC requirements.
• Collaborate with analysts, detection engineering and stakeholders to improve coverage.
• Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments for future growth.
• Support compliance, audit and assurance activities related to cyber defense tech.
• Provide guidance on data collection requirements; support design and service transition.
• Support cabling, site surveys, and deployment planning for monitoring infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance, vendor engagements and status communications.
• Participate in NCIA cyber defence exercises if requested; Deputize for higher grade staff.
