What you will do
You will join the customer portal product team at a Belgian energy network operator, responsible for developing and supporting digital applications for end customers. Your work will combine new functional extensions with maintenance and optimisation of existing web applications.
Together with your colleagues, you will carry end-to-end responsibility for delivering customer value, combining analysis, design, development, testing and support within an Agile environment. The work consists of approximately two-thirds project work and one-third maintenance and incident follow-up.
Analysis and design
- Contribute to functional analyses and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Prepare technical designs for new functionalities
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of new requests and change requests
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of application architecture and code quality
Development and support
- Develop, maintain and optimise web applications within the customer portal
- Support existing applications in project, maintenance and incident work
- Deliver functional extensions in line with business and technical requirements
- Resolve incidents and technical problems within agreed service levels
- Perform technical analyses and propose sustainable solutions
Quality and testing
- Develop high-quality, maintainable and performant software
- Write and execute unit tests
- Support integration, system and acceptance testing
- Apply development guidelines, best practices and internal IT standards
- Document analyses, developments and technical solutions
Collaboration and product work
- Work actively with the product owner, analysts, developers, testers and other stakeholders
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinements, reviews and retrospectives

What we are looking for
Technical skills
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience in developing .NET-based applications
- At least 4 years of extensive demonstrable knowledge and experience with .NET Core
- At least 4 years of extensive demonstrable knowledge and experience with backend technologies: C# and ASP.NET
- At least 4 years of extensive demonstrable experience with ORM: Entity Framework
- At least 4 years of demonstrable experience with development on Azure
- Demonstrable experience with Azure API Management
- Demonstrable experience with Azure App Services
- Demonstrable experience with Azure Data Factory
- Demonstrable experience with Azure Service Fabric
- Demonstrable experience with federated authentication with SAML / OAuth
- Demonstrable experience with web services (WCF / SOAP and Web API / REST)
- Knowledge and experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL)
- Knowledge and experience with unit testing
- Knowledge and experience with Agile development methodology
- Experience with web development using common front-end technologies and frameworks: JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Experience with Angular 2 or higher
- Familiarity with process-driven organisations based on ITIL process work, specifically the incident, change and release processes

The setting
This assignment starts on 4 November 2026 and runs for one year, with the possibility of extension. You will work full-time in Melle, with the possibility of remote work in consultation with the team lead. Occasionally, work outside office hours is needed for releases.
You will be part of the customer portal product team within the customer operations domain, working on a central web portal where customers can register, log in and use online services.
