Job summary

AETHER, a key partner for intrapreneurial projects in Belgium, seeks a medior Buyer Field Maintenance Services to strengthen our project team. You will manage a procurement portfolio for field services supporting safe, reliable grid operations and lead sourcing and contract management.

The role requires a master’s degree and 5+ years in procurement, fluent in Dutch and French, strong negotiation skills, and willingness to work on-site in Brussels with two office days per week.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience in procurement, commercial management or contract management.
• Strong command of Dutch and French and a good professional command of English.
• Demonstrate negotiation skills and experience leading complex tenders and contract negotiations.
• Experience in project-based work, supplier performance management and collaboration with technical or operational teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop structured category and sourcing strategies for Field Services.
• Act as trusted commercial partner to internal stakeholders, shaping sourcing approaches.
• Build supplier relationships and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
• Lead market analyses, tenders and negotiations; manage contracts and suppliers.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational and supplier risks.
