As Buyer Field Services, you are responsible for a diverse portfolio of field-service categories that support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the high-voltage grid. Acting as a strategic link between internal stakeholders and suppliers, you take ownership of complex procurement initiatives and provide expert commercial guidance throughout the sourcing and contract lifecycle.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing and executing structured, innovative category and sourcing strategies for Field Services, in line with the procurement policy and business objectives.
- Acting as a trusted commercial partner to internal stakeholders by challenging requirements, shaping sourcing approaches and creating added value from the earliest stage of the procurement process.
- Building effective, long-term relationships with suppliers and ensuring clear communication and alignment between all relevant stakeholders.
- Conducting market analyses, leading complex tendering processes and commercial negotiations, and managing contracts and strategic suppliers throughout their lifecycle.
- Identifying and managing commercial, contractual, operational and supplier-related risks, and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
- Ensuring the accurate implementation and follow-up of procurement contracts in the ERP system and related contract management tools.
- Leading cross-functional teams through transparent, structured and results-oriented collaboration, and coordinating decision-making across technical, operational, legal and financial stakeholders.
- Achieving the best overall balance between service, safety, quality, risk and cost in order to maximise value for the company.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, commercial management or contract management, preferably in technical services, construction, infrastructure or an industrial environment.
- Strong command of Dutch and French, and a good professional command of English.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience leading complex tenders and contract negotiations.
Nice to Have
- Experience in project-based work, supplier performance management and collaboration with technical or operational teams.
Other Details
- Location: Brussels.
- Onsite presence: 2 days per week at the office.
- Work regime: Fulltime.
