Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Mechatronics Technician in Zwevezele, Belgium to maintain highly automated production equipment on a two-shift schedule (05:00–13:00 and 14:00–22:00). You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems, and record activities in the maintenance management system.

The ideal candidate has qualification in Electromechanics or related fields, strong safety and quality focus, and the ability to read

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rota to ensure plant uptime.

Contract type – Permanent

On-site commitment – Full Time, 2-Shift (05:00 – 13:00 / 14:00 – 22:00)

Salary – Competitive, based on experience

Language – Fluent in Dutch or English

Project focus

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on highly automated production equipment.


• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and fault finding.


• Support technical improvement, maintenance and equipment optimisation projects.


• Record completed maintenance activities within the maintenance management system.


• Ensure the safe, reliable and continuous operation of the production plant, including participation in the on-call rota.

Key skills and Experience required

• Qualification in Electromechanics, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.


• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems, with experience in industrial manufacturing.


• Proven experience carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance and diagnosing technical faults.


• Ability to read and interpret electrical and technical drawings.


• Strong commitment to safety and quality, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; willing to work a 2-shift pattern and participate in the on-call rota.
