Chemelex LLC is seeking a logistics specialist in Belgium, Vlaams-Brabant, to support our import/export department with customs and transportation matters. You will leverage your expertise in customs processes and work collaboratively with carriers and brokers.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in logistics, proficiency in Dutch and English, and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office. Join us in optimizing our logistics processes and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will support the import/export department with customs and transportation matters:

• Knowledge of customs processes: import and export declaration
• Handle Letters of Credit
• Organize transportation: contact with carriers/brokers
• Taking care of transport complaints
• Follow up, instruct, coordinate logistics tasks
• Think of improvements for yourself and team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or equivalent professional experience;
• Language skills: Proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
• Software experience: with SAP (and Stream Software);
• Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
• Professional attributes as: Punctual, flexible and a collaborative team player;
• Eagerness to undergo training and develop expertise in AEO, Origin, Classification of goods, Customs value, bonded warehouse, customs permits;
• Industry experience: prior experience in customs brokerage or carrier environments is highly desirable.
