Crane Worldwide Logistics is a global leader in supply chain solutions seeking an Air Import Coordinator to manage import shipments for a base of accounts and coordinate documentation and customs release for timely delivery.

You will communicate with customs, carriers, customers and vendors, monitor schedules, provide rates, respond to inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues. Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in airfreight forwarding or related field.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export requirements.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbal and written.

• Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight including tracking, routing, dispatching, and rate quotations.
• Communicate with vendors regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.

The Air Import Coordinator will be responsible for the processing of import shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts including import documentation review, and customs release coordination affecting timely delivery.

Essential Job Functions:

• Communicating with customs and port authorities, carriers, and customers.
• Monitoring and managing shipping schedules and delivery times.
• Responding to incoming customer inquiries and requests.
• Providing rates and quotes for both customers as partner offices.
• Working with internal departments to resolve customer requests and issues.
• Track and trace cargo as necessary to insure proper movement and delivery.
• Provide accounting department with proper and correct billing information.
• Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight (i.e. tracking & tracing, routing & dispatching, and rate quotations).
• Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing, pricing, and rates.
• Seek the most profitable mode of shipment, yet meet client’s requirement for the movement of freight.
• Other duties as assigned.
