Pauwels Consulting is seeking an IT Lab Support Engineer to manage critical infrastructure across multiple sites in Belgium. The role focuses on stability, security, and performance of laboratory systems that support vital innovation projects.

Responsibilities include supporting workstations and IT infrastructure, troubleshooting across hardware/software; coordinating with global teams and vendors; planning deployments and migrations; ensuring compliance with security policies; and translating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or Engineering.
• 8+ years in IT support or systems administration.
• Strong Windows and Linux expertise for desktop and server environments.
• Solid TCP/IP networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, routing).
• Experience with Active Directory and endpoint software deployment.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts including patch management and vulnerabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide first-line and advanced technical support for laboratory workstations, instruments, and IT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues to maintain uptime.
• Lead technical initiatives and coordinate with global support teams and vendors for system resolutions.
• Plan, deploy, and migrate new laboratory IT solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, including patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Engage with laboratory users to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions.
