Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or Engineering.
• 8+ years in IT support or systems administration.
• Strong Windows and Linux expertise for desktop and server environments.
• Solid TCP/IP networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, routing).
• Experience with Active Directory and endpoint software deployment.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts including patch management and vulnerabilities.

This role focuses on ensuring the stability, security, and performance of laboratory systems that support vital innovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and advanced technical support for laboratory workstations, instruments, and IT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network-related issues to maintain operational uptime.
• Lead technical initiatives and coordinate with global support teams and vendors for system resolutions.
• Support the planning, deployment, and migration of new laboratory IT solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies, including patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Engage with laboratory users to translate business requirements into effective technical IT solutions.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• You have 8+ years of experience in IT support or system administration roles.
• You bring strong expertise in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems for both desktop and server environments.
• You have a solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, including DNS, DHCP, and routing concepts.
• You're experienced with Active Directory, identity management, and endpoint software deployment.
• You possess knowledge of corporate security frameworks, vulnerability management, and patch management.
• You're proactive, service-oriented, and bring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• You have the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in an international environment.
• You are fluent in Dutch with fluency in English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience supporting scientific, laboratory, or manufacturing environments.
• Previous experience coordinating technical activities across multiple stakeholders.
