Aikido Security in Gent, Belgium, seeks a Junior Legal Counsel (Commercial, Data & Compliance) to join our legal team alongside the General Counsel. You’ll handle contracts, data protection, compliance, IP, and occasional M&A work, helping scale a fast‑growing SaaS company.
Fluency in Dutch and English is required; French is a plus. You’ll review and negotiate with international counterparties, advise sales and product teams, and explore legal tech to move fast while protecting real customer
Qualifications
- Master of Laws and 1–4 years' experience in tech or a law firm (commercial/IT law).
- Strong knowledge of contract law & GDPR.
- Experience negotiating with international counterparties.
- Fluent in Dutch & English; French is a plus but not required.
- Bonus points if you’ve worked on IP, M&A, or LL.M. in the US or another international specialization.
Responsabilités
- Review, negotiate, and close commercial contracts (customers & suppliers).
- Data protection (GDPR) and compliance, including the AI Act.
- Contract management & pragmatic legal advice to sales, product, and management teams.
- Support in IP matters (licensing, trademarks, open source) and M&A transactional work.
- Support in HR-related matters and corporate housekeeping.
- Explore and implement legal tech & AI tools to help move fast.
