Jan De Nul Group in Aalst, Belgium is seeking a Junior Contract Manager to grow within our Contract Management team. You will support contractual management on offshore energy, dredging and infrastructure projects, working with legal specialists and project teams to safeguard interests and ensure compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Engineering, or another relevant field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. A first experience through an internship or up to two years of relevant work experience in contract management, legal advisory, construction, engineering or infrastructure is considered an asset, but is not required.
• An interest in construction contracts, project management and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary and international teams.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Supporting the management of contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and project partners throughout the execution of offshore and dredging projects.
• Assisting in the review and interpretation of construction and engineering contracts, helping identify contractual risks and opportunities.
• Preparing contract notices, correspondence and other contractual documentation under the guidance of senior contract managers.
• Supporting the preparation of contractual submissions, including delay and cost analyses, together with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel where required.
• Monitoring contractual obligations and helping ensure compliance throughout the project.
• Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, including planning, finance, insurance and procurement, to support sound contractual decision-making.
• Maintaining accurate contract documentation and ensuring contractual records are properly organised.
• Contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvements within the Contract Management team.
