Jan De Nul Group in Aalst, Belgium is seeking an Offshore Procurement Engineer who acts as the strategic link between engineering, project teams and a global supplier network. You will shape procurement strategies from the first quotation to on-site execution, balancing technical requirements with time and budget to maximise project value.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering; offshore or cable procurement experience is a nice plus.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills with technical knowledge to support project procurement.
• Proactive team player based at the Aalst head office with willingness to travel internationally.

Responsabilités

• Develop and safeguard the project-specific procurement strategy aligned with technical requirements, timing and budget.
• Search worldwide for new suppliers, assess quality, risk and cost, and build sustainable collaborations.
• Advise project and engineering teams on equipment and spare parts during the award phase.
• Monitor market prices and trends and use knowledge in negotiations.
• Contribute to complex DBFM, D&B and EPC projects in close cooperation with the project team.
• Negotiate contracts and build long-term relationships with suppliers globally.
