An international energy infrastructure group is seeking an Inline Inspection Technician to ensure the integrity of the natural gas transmission system. The role involves carrying out pigging operations, performing maintenance, and ensuring safety during operations. Candidates should have a technical school diploma, be technically inclined, and possess strong communication skills. Fluency in Dutch and a good command of French and English are required. The main objective of the Intervention Centre (in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw) is to ensure the continuity and integrity of the network. To this end, our teams are available 24 hours a day to carry out all kinds of scheduled and unscheduled interventions on the transmission facilities, including adjustments and repairs. The Intervention Centre complies with ISO 9001 quality standard and SCC (VCA) in all its activities: welded structures, mechanical worksite, logistics and warehouse.

Our Intervention Centre at our field office in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw is looking for a Inline Inspection Technician (m/f/x).

Job purpose

Working with your colleagues, you will monitor the integrity of the Fluxys natural gas transmission system by carrying out pigging operations to inspect the internal condition of our pipelines.

Your responsibilities

• You will carry out the necessary switching operations on various facilities across the entire natural gas transmission grid in order to be able to carry out pigging operations
• Together with your colleagues, you will assemble and disassemble the temporary facility in preparation for the inline inspection
• You will support the team in monitoring the tools that go through the pipe
• You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and adjustment of the equipment and facilities
• You will be responsible for tightness tests (air, nitrogen, gas) on the equipment
• You will handle administrative follow‑up for your work and you will be responsible for reporting the work carried out
• Ultimately, you will handle the preparatory work for pigging operations, such as drawing up assembly schedules, booking and ordering the necessary equipment and handling assembly on site
• Though the Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw Intervention Centre will serve as your base of operations, you will work on sites throughout Belgium

About you

• You have a secondary school diploma in a technical subject (such as mechanics or electromechanics) or are very interested in the technical side of projects
• You are technically minded and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You are a natural problem solver
• You are a self‑motivating, disciplined team member with a great team spirit and sense of responsibility
• You have MS Office skills, strong communication skills, stress resistance enabling you to act quickly in crisis situations, a focus on safety, fluent Dutch and good French and English, or you are willing to improve quickly
• You must live no more than 60 km from the Intervention Centre in Sint‑Pieters‑Leeuw
• A category B driving licence and a willingness to obtain a category CE licence (training organised by Fluxys)
