The Metering & Laboratory department is responsible for the operation and inspection of more than 500 metering and gas quality stations spread across the entire Fluxys Belgium network. It delivers metering data to internal and external customers and monitors its reliability. In addition, the department guarantees the gas balance of Fluxys Belgium and delivers high‑quality products and services based on advanced technologies within gas metrology.

For the Metering & Laboratory department in Anderlecht, we are looking for a Metering Back Office Agent (m/f/x).

Job Purpose

After an in-depth training on the metering activities and metrological processes of Fluxys Belgium, you join the Metering & Laboratory team as a back‑office employee.

You play a key role in the validation and metering chain of the gas transported by Fluxys Belgium.

You work closely with field employees and provide them with quality technical and administrative support to guarantee the reliability of the measurements.

Your responsibilities

• You remotely analyse and follow up on issues related to the integrity of the metering chain and the measured gas volumes.
• You provide technical and administrative support to field technicians and ensure accurate follow‑up of their requests and interventions.
• You contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, processes and working methods to strengthen the reliability of measurements.
• You contribute to the reporting of metering activities and ensure that data is available correctly, completely and on time.
• You actively participate in monitoring the quality management system within the framework of ISO 17020 and the recognition of Metering Operations as an inspection body.
• You support the annual metrological maintenance planning of gas meters on the Fluxys network and assist in its practical implementation, including stock management, calibration follow‑up, logistical coordination, support of mobile technicians and invoice validation.

About you

• You hold a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• You have an interest in technical and industrial processes and wish to contribute to their qualitative follow‑up.
• You enjoy working with figures and have strong analytical skills and a critical mindset.
• You are proactive, solution‑oriented and work in a structured and accurate manner.
• You have strong organisational skills and are able to efficiently follow up on various tasks and priorities.
• You communicate fluently and actively contribute to sharing information and knowledge within the team.
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and quickly learn to work with new digital tools.
• You speak French and/or Dutch and have a good knowledge of the other national language and of English.
