Daikin Europe, a leading HVACR company, invites applications for a Structural Development Engineer in Ghent, with occasional travel to Ostend. You will develop structural aspects of heat pumps, refrigeration systems, and ventilation products, coordinating with 3D designers to assemble and validate components.

You will define mechanical specifications, ensure legal and quality compliance, run simulations, and drive action plans.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electromechanical) is required.
Strong teamwork and initiative with ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Excellent English communication skills in professional context.
Open to recent graduates or candidates with experience; driving licence required.
Interest in HVACR technologies and sustainability goals.

Responsabilités

Define mechanical specifications per sales requests, regulations, and manufacturing constraints.
Develop mechanical design with 3D designers to meet product specs.
Ensure compliance through documentation, calculations or testing; coordinate with Compliance.
Select tests, perform evaluations, and analyze results.
Run structural simulations to address issues in testing.
Plan and execute own work within global EDC scheduling.
Act as liaison between EDC and Sales, Procurement, Quality and Production.
