Job summary
Siemens Smart Infrastructure in Beersel, Belgium, is seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design, implement, engineer and commission HV networks for power system protection projects in Belgium.
You will be the technical expert and single point of contact for customers, able to translate complex technical aspects into clear solutions, train colleagues, and contribute to decarbonization through advanced automation.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in energy, electrical or electromechanical engineering.
- Initial experience in HV electrical protection and control systems.
- Experience performing hardware studies for protection systems.
- Strong knowledge of HV and MV electrical networks.
- Knowledge of protection communication protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity with Siemens Siprotec and Digsi is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; French understanding is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineering of HV networks for protection projects.
- Implement, test and commission protection solutions.
- Serve as technical expert and single point of contact for customers.
- Translate complex technical details into customer-ready solutions.
