We are currently supporting one of our clients in the search for an experienced and people-driven HR Director to lead a major industrial site in Wallonia (Belgium). This is a key leadership role with high visibility and impact, ideal for a candidate who thrives in complex environments and enjoys both strategic thinking and operational excellence.

You will lead a multidisciplinary HR team and support a diverse workforce of over 1000 employees, spread across various functions and roles. This is your opportunity to bring human-centric leadership into an environment where people, performance and long-term vision go hand in hand.

The job itself

This role is all about impact: not just executing HR processes, but shaping how people work, grow and connect across an entire site.

You'll be leading HR strategy hand-in-hand with the site's leadership team, aligning people initiatives with the long-term vision of the business. From recruitment to performance, from onboarding to talent development, you'll ensure every touchpoint reflects a culture that's inclusive, collaborative and future-focused.

You'll also be a key voice in the social dialogue, building constructive relationships with social partners and navigating the complexity of a unionized environment with confidence and care.

Beyond the strategy, you'll coach and guide a team of HR professionals, making sure they feel empowered to support the business with clarity and consistency.

And because this role sits at the heart of an evolving organization, you'll be constantly looking ahead, using data, insights and best practices to refine how things are done, always with the employee experience in mind.

The experience and skills we would like you to have

You bring solid experience, at least 7 years in HR leadership roles where business partnering, team management and social relations were part of your day-to-day.

You've already worked in an industrial or operational context, and you're comfortable in environments where change, scale and complexity are part of the equation.

You're someone who leads with both head and heart: strategic in your thinking, pragmatic in your actions, and deeply human in how you connect with others.

You understand Belgian labor law inside out, and ideally, you've had exposure to international HR contexts too.

Above all, you're ready to take the lead on people topics that matter and to make a real difference, every single day.
