Axis Group in Belgium seeks an HR Manager to lead payroll, HR operations, and compliance with Belgian labor laws. You will support employee engagement initiatives and maintain high standards in HR data accuracy and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Generalist/HR Manager roles.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• Solid knowledge of Belgian employment regulations, payroll processes and social legislation.
• Experience collaborating with external payroll providers; SD Worx familiarity advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; effective communication.

Responsabilités

• Oversee HR admin: contracts, changes, salary adjustments, benefits, absences, time tracking, offboarding.
• Liaise with social secretariats, auditors and regulators; organise audits and inspections.
• Maintain HR data accuracy, reporting and KPIs for compliance and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain compensation & benefits structures aligned with market trends and legal rules.
• Ensure uniform application of reward policies and clear communication.

Description

• You ensure the precise and timely management of payroll by closely collaborating with the external payroll service provider
• You oversee HR administrative functions, including managing employment contracts, contract modifications, salary adjustments, benefits administration, managing absences, time tracking, and offboarding processes
• You serve as the main liaison for social secretariats, auditors, and regulatory authorities, and you organize audits and inspections as necessary
• You uphold high standards for HR data accuracy, reporting, and HR KPIs to facilitate compliance and assist in managerial decision-making
• You play a role in developing and maintaining compensation and benefits structures that are aligned with market trends, cost-effective, and legally compliant
• You ensure the uniform application of reward policies across the organization and communicate these clearly
• You maintain ongoing compliance with Belgian labor laws and social legislation
• You draft, revise, and implement HR policies, procedures, and internal regulations, translating legal stipulations into practical HR applications
• You proactively identify HR-related risks and suggest corrective or preventive measures
• You coordinate and oversee performance management cycles, including setting goals, conducting evaluations, and maintaining documentation
• You support managers in addressing performance issues, managing absences, and handling disciplinary cases in a legally compliant manner
• You assist in the recruitment process by engaging with business needs, composing job descriptions, conducting initial screenings, and participating in interviews
• You ensure that onboarding processes are structured and compliant, with a strong focus on administrative and legal obligations
• You manage and track training plans, ensuring that they meet legal training requirements and align with business objectives
• You keep track of mandatory training obligations and prepare related reports
• You act as a trustworthy HR partner for employees and managers in matters related to employee relations, demonstrating strong coaching abilities. Your profile

• Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline;
• Brings a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager position, demonstrating a robust emphasis on core HR functions;
• Is proficient in Dutch, French, and English;
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of Belgian employment regulations, payroll processes, and social legislation;
• Has experience collaborating with external payroll service providers and social secretariats; familiarity with SD Worx payroll software is advantageous;
• Exhibits strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work;
• Communicates effectively, capable of informing, advising, persuading, and raising awareness within the organization while serving as a reliable partner;
• Maintains discretion, independence, and confidence in providing guidance to management.
