Job summary

Qplox engineering in Belgium is seeking a motivated Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to join our hands-on team. You will develop, optimize, and implement advanced III-V processes (InP/GaAs) and drive silicon photonics BEOL post-processing, focusing on lithography, metallization, passivation, and bond pad opening.

You will integrate newly developed processes into standardized fabrication flows, ensure robustness and reproducibility, and perform hands-on cleanroom work, process

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (PhD advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years hands-on cleanroom experience in semiconductor fabrication.
• Solid knowledge of III-V processing (InP/GaAs) FEOL and BEOL technologies (mandatory).
• Experience with silicon photonics post-processing or silicon BEOL is a strong plus.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and execute III-V FEOL/BEOL fabrication processes for InP and GaAs.
• Develop silicon photonics BEOL processes including lithography, metallization, passivation, and bond pad opening.
• Collaborate to integrate new processes into standardized fabrication flows.
• Ensure process robustness, reproducibility, and compatibility with existing technologies.
• Perform hands-on fabrication, process characterization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
