Job summary

Engibex, a Belgian engineering consulting firm, seeks a specialist to develop and implement III-V semiconductor processes (InP/GaAs) in FEOL and BEOL, and to drive BEOL post-processing for silicon photonics. You will work with the MTP-SCAL team in a hands-on, collaborative setting.

Requirements include a Master’s in Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering, a PhD preferred, at least 2 years in a cleanroom, and fluent English. On-site collaboration is essential for this role.

The assignment

• You will develop and execute III-V semiconductor processes (InP/GaAs), covering both front-end and back-end steps.
• You will develop and execute post-processing steps for silicon photonics devices in the back-end of line (BEOL), including lithography, metallization, passivation and bondpad opening.
• You will work closely with the rest of the MTP-SCAL.

Profile / Requirements

• You hold at least a Master's degree in Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering, ideally complemented by a PhD.
• You have a strong background in cleanroom processing of III-V semiconductors (FEOL and BEOL); experience with silicon BEOL is a plus.
• You have at least 2 years of working experience in a cleanroom environment.
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• You have good communication skills.
• You are a team player.
