Job summary

Nexans Belgium Halle seeks an HR Generalist to support employees and managers across the HR lifecycle. You will work with the HR Manager on administration, recruitment and policy implementation.

You will manage contracts, onboarding/offboarding, payroll data with SD Worx, and time attendance with Protime, while ensuring compliance with Belgian labour law. This role offers growth and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Solid understanding of Belgian labour and social legislation.
• Experience with Protime and/or SD Worx is an asset.
• Native Dutch speaker with good command of French and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage full employee administration from A to Z (contracts, amendments, onboarding, offboarding).
• Ensure accurate follow-up of absences, leave requests, and other HR processes.
• Maintain accuracy and up-to-date HR data.
• Coordinate payroll data with SD Worx and meet deadlines.
• Oversee time and attendance system (Protime) and support managers in its use.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding/offboarding for blue- and white-collar staff.
• First point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters.
• Guide on social legislation and internal policies.
• Build relationships to foster a constructive social climate.
• Prepare Works Council and CPPT meetings.
• Coordinate training programs and talent development initiatives.
• Manage occupational health files and monitor long-term absences.
• Support well-being, engagement and retention initiatives.
• Maintain shop floor presence with operations teams.
• Stay updated on Belgian labour and social legislation and ensure compliant application.
• Contribute to HR projects (training plans, mobility, CLAs, HR reporting, continuous improvement).
• Contribute to internal communications and events.
