AIT Worldwide Logistics, a Chicago-headquartered global freight forwarder, is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our Air & Ocean Freight account base internationally. You will identify new opportunities, present tailored freight solutions, and collaborate with global teams to ensure top-tier client satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in B2B sales within freight, fluent English, willingness to travel, and the ability to navigate complex logistics environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in air and ocean freight
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional training
• Freight forwarding certification or specialization is a plus
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are a plus
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills
• Willingness to travel frequently to meet customers and drive growth
• VGB security clearance (or ability to obtain it) is required

Responsabilités

• Develop and secure new business opportunities in Air & Ocean Freight
• Identify, engage, and establish long-term client relationships for international freight solutions
• Design and execute a business plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals
• Coordinate with local and global logistics teams to ensure seamless shipments
• Present customized freight solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct sales and negotiation meetings with prospective and existing customers
• Record and maintain customer data in the CRM system for ongoing collaboration
• Plan and execute customer visits to strengthen business relations
