Job summary

Fugro Belgium is seeking a hands-on Team Leader for the Standard Laboratory in Louvain-La-Neuve. You will guide a laboratory team, ensure accurate geotechnical testing and data quality, and drive continuous improvement in a regulatory-compliant environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, >3 years of leadership, and fluency in English and French. You will manage resources, maintain equipment, and contribute to major energy and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and French; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Standard Laboratory; ensure timely, within-budget geotechnical testing.
• Coach and develop the laboratory team; provide guidance and training.
• Maintain high quality and safety standards, align with ISO 17892, BS1377, ISO 17025.
• Manage lab resources, plan maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to process enhancements.
