Optimus Search is recruiting a Freelance Service Engineer / Electromechanical Technician in Belgium near the Dutch border for a 6-month project. The role combines mechanical, electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting and involves on-site work at customer locations.

You'll repair mechanical and electromechanical systems, wire motors and sensors, read electrical schematics, and work with frequency drives and safety relays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' relevant technical experience.
• Strong mechanical & electrical knowledge.
• Hands-on troubleshooting mentality.
• Able to work independently at customer sites.
• French and/or English advantageous.

Freelance Service Engineer / Electromechanical Technician

6-Month Contract | ASAP Start

The Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Service Engineer / Electromechanical Technician to join an industrial machinery company for an initial 6-month project.

This is a highly hands-on position combining mechanical, electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting, with work carried out both in the workshop and directly at customer sites.

Your responsibilities:

• Mechanical and electromechanical repairs
• Wiring motors, sensors and control components
• Reading electrical schematics & technical drawings
• Working with frequency drives, motors & safety relays
• Machine assembly & disassembly
• Emergency service interventions at customer sites

Your profile:

• 2+ years' relevant technical experience
• Strong mechanical & electrical knowledge

Location: Belgium, close to the Dutch border

Duration: 6 months initially
