Planet Pharma is seeking a Freelance Senior Employee Relations & Off-boarding Specialist. Start ASAP for 8-9 months freelance engagement (1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week). Ideal for senior HR professionals experienced in Belgian labour law, reintegration, off-boarding and employee relations in an international setting.

This role handles sickness management, reintegration plans, exit packages, and complex HR cases, with guidance to HR partners and collaboration with unions and external advisors.

Qualifications

• Expert in Belgian labour law, sickness management, reintegration and off-boarding.
• Proven track record negotiating exit packages and handling disciplinary matters.
• Strong documentation, case governance and legal diligence.
• Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
• Ability to navigate a matrix environment with unions and medical services.

Responsabilités

• Sickness & reintegration ownership across long-term incapacity cases.
• Lead and validate reintegration plans, contract addenda and return-to-work pathways.
• Manage off-boarding (dismissal, retirement, misconduct, mutual agreement, reorganization) for employees up to Senior Manager I level.
• Prepare, present and negotiate exit packages with employees and union representatives.
• Handle employee relations cases including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions and grievances.
• Guide HR partners on Belgian legislation and local ER practices.
• Liaise with union representatives and external legal advisors on sensitive cases.
• Ensure consistent, compliant case handling aligned with Belgian social/labour law.
• Deliver reporting and dashboards on sickness, reintegration, off-boarding and ER indicators.
• Translate data insights into recommendations for leadership.
• Monitor legislative changes and update policies, processes and digital workflows.
• Drive optimisation of work accident management and disability-related decisions.
• Design and deliver training for managers and HR stakeholders.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex or sensitive HR cases.

We are supporting a global Pharmaceutical client with a full‑time freelance assignment, ideal for senior HR professionals experienced in Belgian labour law, reintegration pathways, off‑boarding and employee relations. This role is perfect for established freelancers seeking a stable, high‑impact position handling sensitive HR matters in a complex, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

What You Bring

• Solid expertise in Belgian labour law, sickness management, disability, reintegration and off‑boarding
• Proven experience negotiating exit packages and handling disciplinary/grievance matters
• Strong capability in structured documentation, case governance and legal rigor
• Excellent conflict resolution, mediation and stakeholder management skills
• Balanced, empathetic judgment with the ability to represent both company and employee interests
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment with business leaders, unions and medical services
• Digital mindset: familiar with HR platforms, automation and data‑driven decision‑making
• Strong data literacy (dashboards, analytics, predictive insights)
• High integrity, confidentiality and risk awareness (GDPR, social inspections)
• Pharmaceutical experience is highly desired
• Fluent French, Dutch and English
