Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in IT Operations, Service Delivery, or Technical Delivery Management.
• Experience delivering IT infrastructure or workplace technology projects.
• Strong ITIL knowledge and operational environments.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2 delivery methods.

Responsabilités

• Lead the technical delivery of workplace and infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.

For a global customer in Brussels, we are looking for a freelance Technical Lead (SME) with a strong background in IT Service Delivery and Workplace Infrastructure to lead the successful delivery of IT projects. This role requires someone who combines operational IT expertise with project delivery experience and can effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

You will act as the technical subject matter expert throughout project delivery, ensuring solutions are technically sound, risks are identified early, and business stakeholders understand project objectives, progress, and impacts.

This is not a hands-on engineering role, but rather a technical leadership position focused on delivering workplace and infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of workplace and infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
• Act as the technical SME for project teams, providing guidance on infrastructure and end-user computing technologies.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
• Work closely with engineers to understand technical requirements while translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Partner with business stakeholders to explain project goals, timelines, priorities, impacts, and any delivery issues.
• Coordinate project activities across technical teams, vendors, partners, and business users.
• Support projects involving technologies such as device lifecycle management, laptop refreshes, mobile device deployments, and workplace transformation initiatives.
• Ensure projects align with IT Service Management (ITIL) best practices and operational standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and communications to ensure engagement and project success.
• Drive project governance, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and risks are appropriately managed.

Profile

• 3-5 years' experience in an IT Operations, Service Delivery, or Technical Delivery Management role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering IT infrastructure or workplace technology projects.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITIL) principles and operational environments.
• Experience working alongside infrastructure, workplace, or endpoint engineering teams.
• Good understanding of modern workplace technologies, including Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Ability to assess the technical impact of proposed solutions and communicate these clearly to business stakeholders.
• Experience identifying project risks, dependencies, and technical constraints.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 workplace technologies.
