Freelance HR Project Manager – Region Brussels (Ref. 1637)

For a large and renowned organization in the Brussels region we are looking for an experienced Freelance HR Project Manager. In this role you will report directly to the HR Director and play a key role in the further development and transformation of the HR function.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, propose and lead HR change and transformation projects from concept to implementation, with impact on both the organization and HR teams.
  Support and follow up on the implementation of a new HR organizational structure (fine-tuning and validating job descriptions, coordinating recruitment and internal mobility processes, identifying and developing training and development programs).
• Actively contribute to the execution of the HR strategy, support HR management and coach and guide internal employees.
• Analyse existing HR processes across all HR domains.
• Support the selection of a social secretariat and HR IT systems.
• Monitor daily HR operations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. pay transparency, absenteeism policies), maintaining a pragmatic and critical mindset.
• Identify and implement “quick wins” to deliver tangible results.
• Prepare and present progress reports and proactively propose adjustments where needed.
• Facilitate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
• Support conflict resolution to ensure project continuity.

Your profile:

• At least 15 years of experience in a senior or leadership HR role within complex organizations.
• Broad, hands-on expertise across the full HR lifecycle (including Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, HR Business Partnering, HRIS, reporting, and HR administration).
• Proven experience in HR transformation and change projects.
• Strong project management experience, including planning, budgeting, risk management and stakeholder management.
• Experience with structured project management methodologies is a strong plus.
• Bilingual Dutch/French is a must.
• Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven, proactive, and hands-on.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
