Job summary

Leica Biosystems, part of Danaher, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites across the Benelux region. You will join the NEE Service Team in Belgium and may work remotely from home under a flexible arrangement.

Travel is required, with responsibility for preventing downtime, fault analysis and timely upgrades. You’ll interact with sales and support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Technically educated, ideally with a Bachelor’s degree or vocational qualification in mechanical or electronic direction.
• Fluent in English, Dutch and French.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer sites for installations, maintenance, repairs and fault analysis; perform upgrades as needed.
• Contribute to achieving Customer Satisfaction and proactive maintenance goals.
• Collaborate with the Technical Assistance Centre and Sales teams to ensure smooth processes and effective information flow.

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and systems on‑site at our customers across the region.

This position reports to the Service Team Leader and is part of the NEE Service Team located in Belgium and will be working remotely to cover the Benelux region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Visiting customers for installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades

• Contributing to the team goals of Customer Satisfaction, Return Call Rate, Preventive Maintenance Planning & Utilization

• Providing input to improve product reliability and feedback to the business units and field services

• Cooperate with the Technical Assistance Centre Support Team to ensure smooth and fast processes and information flow

• Working closely with our Sales teams by ensuring good communication for opportunities & escalations

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Technically educated, preferably a Bachelor´s degree or vocational degree in the Mechanical or Electronic direction.

• Fluent in the English, Dutch and French language.

• You have proven to be an excellent communicator by interaction with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful support and optimal processes.

• You can communicate any issues or concerns to customers and act as a problem‑solver.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Valid driving license B is required

• The ability to carry & move up to 25 kg safely

• Traveling ability for product training in different countries
