Halian in Brussels is seeking an exceptionally skilled Technical Specialist to join the enterprise IT infrastructure team on a fully onsite permanent basis. The role focuses on high availability, security, and performance of server and network infrastructure with strong Windows/Linux and virtualization expertise.

You will administer server OSs, monitor health, deploy patches, and work with security and networking teams to enforce IT governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional IT infrastructure administration or technical specialist experience.
• Deep proficiency in Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), VMware/Hyper-V, and Active Directory.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and enterprise storage.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Onsite Brussels residency/work authorization.

Responsabilités

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise server OSs, virtualized environments, and core infrastructure.
• Resolve escalated incidents across server and network layers.
• Deploy OS patches, security updates, and software packages with deployment tools.
• Monitor performance, resources, and network latency with observability platforms.
• Support backup, DR testing, and data restoration procedures.
• Collaborate with security and network teams to enforce IT governance.
• Maintain documentation, topology diagrams, and inventories.
• Provide tier-3 guidance to junior staff.
• Participate in change management windows and on-call rotations.
• Create runbooks, health reports, and SOPs.
