Job summary

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Labour and Employee Relations Specialist to lead complex ER matters across the Netherlands and Belgium. You will provide strategic and operational ER support to the People Partner Team, focusing on legally sound outcomes and risk mitigation while respecting local laws.

The role involves collaboration with Global LER, HR, Legal and Compliance, with travel between the two countries and on-site presence in Medemblik and Hoegaarden.

Qualifications

• Degree in HR, business or law with progressive experience in Labor & Employee Relations.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch and Belgian labor law and works councils.
• Experience supporting reorganisations across multi-country European scope.
• Ability to operate autonomously with high influence and risk awareness.
• Willingness to be onsite in Medemblik and Hoegaarden.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ER support by coordinating and leading consultation with employee representative bodies; manage disciplinary matters, grievances, performance issues and labour law compliance.
• Structure and advise People Partners in consultation and negotiation processes with works councils and unions across the region.
• Lead LER support for reorganisations, restructurings and transformation initiatives with compliant outcomes.
• Lead and support complex workplace investigations and performance management, guiding managers and coordinating with Legal and Compliance.
• Escalate within Cytiva’s HR model; drive policy improvements, templates, training and case insights to strengthen consistency and risk prevention.
