Job summary

Wise in Brussels seeks a Head of Finance to lead the Europe Regional Finance team. You will strengthen controls, manage statutory reporting, and partner with tax to ensure compliance and accurate financial governance.

You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and play a pivotal role in shaping Wise's continental financial strategy. Based in Brussels, you will drive improvements in reporting, automation, and data quality while ensuring alignment with local GAAP and regulatory

Qualifications

Proven post-qualified experience in accounting, financial control, and reporting.
Experience in Fintech or Financial Services is desirable.
Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

Provide deep-dive variance analysis and convert statutory data into management insights.
Own end-to-end statutory financial statements and disclosures for local GAAP.
Lead external audit coordination and ensure timely audit cycles.
Coordinate regulatory reporting, compliance, and tax filings.
Partner with Tax on indirect and corporate taxes; drive process improvements.
