Job summary

Wise is seeking an Internal Audit Senior Manager (FinCrime) to lead complex FinCrime audits within the EU Internal Audit team in Brussels. You will shape how Internal Audit operates at Wise globally, managing cross-functional projects and external partners while driving automation and data-driven approaches.

You will spearhead the audit program, oversee risk-based testing, mentor junior staff, and track progress of remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• Deep FinCrime expertise across risk domains (KYC/KYB, EDD, monitoring, reporting).
• Strong understanding of EU AML directives, FATF, Wolfsberg guidance.
• Proven audit, risk, or controls experience in fintech/financial services.
• Comfort with data analytics and continuous monitoring in audit workflows.

Responsibilities

• Automate & innovate audit routines and monitoring tools.
• Shape the annual audit plan, risk models and budgeting.
• Lead end-to-end FinCrime audits and translate findings into business insights.
• Align cross-functional projects to create a unified assurance model.
• Build, mentor and empower a high-performing internal audit team.
• Track implementation of audit recommendations and measure impact.
