POLITICO seeks an experienced Finance Director, Global Controller to lead our global accounting function from Brussels. You will partner with the CFO to strengthen controls, build a high‑performing team, and scale finance operations across the globe.

The role demands 15+ years of international accounting, deep IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, and a hands‑on transformation mindset. You will own ICFR, statutory filings, and drive automation with Workday and Salesforce, across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive accounting experience in an international group.
• Regional/global Controller experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Experience consolidating multi-entity, multi-currency groups.
• Ownership of internal control framework over financial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Lead global close and IFRS consolidation for group reporting.
• Set accounting policy; final voice on complex judgements.
• Oversee statutory reporting in all jurisdictions.
• Own governance framework (ICFR) and liaise with auditors.
• Oversee tax accounting, TP and indirect tax compliance.
• Support acquisitions from due diligence to post‑deal integration.
• Lead purchase accounting and impairment testing.
• Drive automation of close and reporting in Workday and Salesforce.
