World Food Programme in Brussels seeks a Partnerships and Compliance Officer to manage EU contributions, ensure contract compliance, and strengthen relations with EU institutions. The role reports to the Deputy Director at the Brussels Global Office.

The position requires five+ years in partnerships, plus proven experience with EU contracts and FAFA alignment. You will coordinate with EC services and lead trainings on donor policies, contributing to WFP’s EU funding strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum five or more years of relevant professional work experience in partnership roles.
• Four years dealing with EU institutions, policies, oversight and legal frameworks, including negotiation and management of EU contracts and financial verifications.
• Excellent working knowledge of EU development policies, rules, and procedures (DG INTPA, DG MENA, FPI).

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist advice to strengthen relations with EU institutions and fundraising opportunities.
• Support negotiations for EU contribution agreements and ensure compliance with FAFA.
• Guide WFP country and HQ units in negotiating and managing EU contracts and reporting.
• Coordinate with EU representatives and participate in donor meetings.
• Prepare briefing materials for senior management and develop recommendations to increase EU funding.
• Deliver training on EU contributions management and compliance to staff at all levels.
• Other duties as required.
