HITACHI ENERGY BELGIUM is seeking an OSS Specialist to provide desk-side IT support, handling issues that require physical intervention. You will collaborate with IT teams to aid incident resolution, becoming the interface between customers and IT functions.

The role emphasizes ensuring ready‑to‑use workstations and proactive problem solving. Ideal candidates have formal IT qualifications or an IT apprenticeship, strong communication skills in English and local language, and a self‑driven

Responsabilidades

• Diagnoses and resolves IT-related issues effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures computers are delivered in a ready‑to‑use condition for IT users.
• Provides ad‑hoc training to users on common IT issues and guides them through self‑service tools.
• Manages the physical stock of devices and accessories, including updates in the CMDB.
• Performs routine checks of computer rooms, including temperature, air conditioning, cabling and general functionality.
• Coordinates logistics by using local providers to move devices between locations.
• Handles warranty cases with OEM vendors.
• Supports process engineering & maintenance related to non-standard IT hardware and production equipment.
• Sets up and deploys hardware and various types of software.
