Job summary

WLG in Brussels is seeking a contracting assistant to manage procurements from solicitation to award and maintain contracts in good order. The role is hybrid, with half the time on site and half wherever you work best.

You will handle competitive and sole-source procurements, liaise with contractors, process contract changes, review business cases, and contribute procurement reporting input. English proficiency is essential for coordination in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Higher vocational training in a relevant field with 2 years of related experience, or a secondary qualification with 4 years.
• Working knowledge of procurement methods and of keeping financial records compliant.
• Experience with high-value, high-volume framework contracts for services.
• Welcome extras: public sector procurement, an international military and civilian environment, and knowledge of NATO procurement.
• Good professional English.

Responsibilities

• Handling competitive and sole-source procurements: drafting and releasing solicitations, analysing bids, talking to bidders and preparing awards.
• Liaising with contractors so that tasks are delivered on time and as agreed.
• Processing contract changes and amendments, and keeping financial records audit-ready.
• Reviewing business cases and recommending the right procurement route, whether open market or an existing framework.
• Sorting out procurement issues for internal customers, or escalating them when needed, and supporting supplier improvement actions.
• Contributing timely, high-quality input to procurement reporting.
