Alistar is building a central data platform to unify data sources and deliver reliable reporting. As Data & Analytics Lead you shape architecture, lead platform development, and guide BI/analytics across Finance, Sales, HR, and Delivery.
Expect a hands-on leadership style with architectural decisions and practical implementation. You will design pipelines, model data, and consolidate from Dynamics 365 and external apps while mentoring BI developers and stakeholders.
At Alistar, we are building a central data platform that brings together data sources and ensures consistent, scalable, and reliable reporting.
Design, build, and manage the central data platform using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks, based on a scalable medallion architecture with bronze, silver, and gold tiers
Developing data pipelines, notebooks, and transformations using SQL, Spark SQL, and Python/PySpark, with a focus on data quality, monitoring, performance, and cost-efficiency
Development of a single integrated dimensional data model with facts and shared dimensions, supplemented by a central Power BI semantic model, DAX, and access control
Consolidating and making data accessible from sources such as Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales/Customer Engagement, Synergy, Resource Manager, and external applications
Migrate existing reporting models to the new central platform and develop a reusable approach to efficiently integrate new data sources and acquired entities
Translating reporting needs from Finance, Sales, Delivery, and HR into reliable, consistent, and reusable data solutions
Establish and enforce standards for modeling, documentation, version control, and CI/CD, and ensure the quality and consistency of the delivered solutions
Provide guidance and coaching to BI developers, external partners, and key users, and help determine priorities regarding reporting requests
At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, BI Consultant, or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of SQL and Spark SQL and the ability to work proficiently with Python/PySpark
Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, including notebooks and Delta Lake
Strong knowledge of Power BI, data modeling, and DAX
A distinctly hands-on mindset and a desire not only to make architectural and technical decisions but also to build and implement solutions yourself
The ability to translate technical issues into solutions that are understandable and practical for the business, preferably based on knowledge of operational and financial business processes
Fluency in Dutch and English, supplemented by a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, economics, or a scientific field, or an equivalent level of expertise gained through relevant experience

Alistar's Story
Progress is in our DNA. What began in 1999 as a small IT company has grown into a dynamic international organization with one ambitious goal: to help companies work smarter by connecting people, data, and technology. Over the years, we’ve grown, new companies have joined us, and technology has evolved at breakneck speed. But one thing has always remained the same: our DNA.
We’re curious doers. Challengers. Dreamers who actually make things happen. For us, technology isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a catalyst for progress for our clients, within our teams, and in our own operations. We think tech, but we speak human.
Today, as one Alistar, we continue to build toward our ambition: to become a leading, customer-driven IT solutions advisor in Western Europe. We’re doing this by pooling talent and expertise within our Business Units, investing heavily in knowledge, AI, and innovation, and structuring our organization so that small teams can achieve great results.
