ALTIUS, a Belgian full‑service law firm in Brussels, seeks an associate with around 5 years of experience to join the Corporate and M&A team. You will handle national and international corporate matters, cross-border M&A, restructurings, and related financing documentation with a practical, hands-on approach.

You should be a Belgian-qualified lawyer with 3–7 years in corporate/M&A, fluent in Dutch, with English and French suitable for daily business, and a team‑oriented,

Responsabilités

• Join ALTIUS’ Corporate and M&A team and advise on national and international corporate matters
• Support domestic and cross-border M&A, restructurings and corporate litigation
• Assist in financing and documentation for acquisitions or projects
• Collaborate with banking team for private equity transactions and related finance structures

ALTIUS is an independent Belgian law firm based in Brussels (Tour & Taxis). ALTIUS currently has 75 lawyers and 25 staff members. We are a full-service law firm and we advise Belgian and international companies on the legal aspects of their businesses, transactions and disputes. At ALTIUS, we do legal differently. We are currently looking for an associate with around 5 years of experience to join our Corporate and M&A team.

The Corporate and M&A Team

Our corporate and M&A team provides services to a range of national and international corporate, financial institution, and private clients across a broad spectrum of corporate matters. In addition to our (domestic and cross-border) M&A capability, our expertise encompasses corporate restructurings as well as corporate litigation. We are highly active in private equity deals. Relying on the firm’s strong banking team, we are also well-positioned to assist in the structuring and documentation of the financing of acquisitions or projects.

Key requirements

• You are a Belgian qualified lawyer and you have at least 3 to maximum 7 years of experience in corporate and especially in M&A law, ideally in a similar practice. You combine a profound interest in corporate and M&A law with commercial awareness;
• If you have worked or studied abroad we consider this to be an asset.
• You are fluent in Dutch. Your level of English and French is suitable for daily use in a business environment. Any knowledge of an additional language is considered a plus.
• You possess excellent writing skills and you prefer a pragmatic and hands‑on approach.
• You are an open and enthusiastic team player, highly motivated and internationally oriented.
• You are not afraid to speak your mind, have shown your entrepreneurial spirit in the past (ex: involvement in a student club, sport club, etc.), and don’t always choose the more conventional path.
