Astrea is a premier Belgian and international corporate law firm seeking an Associate to strengthen our Corporate M&A team in Antwerp.

You will work with around 15 Corporate M&A specialists, handling challenging tasks for Belgian and international clients and participating directly with negotiations and client contact.

Qualifications

• Belgian Master of Laws, ideally with a focus on corporate law.
• At least 4 years of solid experience in Corporate M&A transactions.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with a basic command of French.
• Client-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver practical solutions.
• Team player attitude combined with the ability to work independently and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Providing high-quality advice and legal support across the full range of corporate law matters.
• Preparing, reviewing, and refining legal documents, including contracts relating to M&A, PE and other corporate transactions.
• Actively participating in negotiations, helping to facilitate deals and resolve legal issues as they arise.
• Being in close contact with clients, understanding their needs, and developing effective legal strategies.
• Representing Astrea at events, contributing to publications, and supporting external client seminars.
• Keeping your expertise up to date through active participation in practice groups, training and seminars.

Your role

As an Associate, you will take on challenging and varied work for large and mid-sized Belgian and international companies. You will join a team of around 15 Corporate M&A specialists and work directly with clients.

Astrea’s Corporate M&A team advises on:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Venture capital and private equity transactions
• Complex corporate law questions
• Corporate restructurings
• Corporate litigation

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing highquality advice and legal support across the full range of corporate law matters.
