Job summary

Wlgroup is seeking an engineer with strong cloud and database skills to support an international defence organisation near Brussels. You will manage enterprise cloud environments in Azure or AWS, handle escalated support, and automate deployments with Terraform.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with SQL databases across cloud and on‑prem, and can write scripts in Python, Bash or PowerShell. English communication must be excellent.

Qualifications

Solid experience with MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL in cloud and on premises.
Hands-on AWS and Azure IaaS and PaaS knowledge.
Experience with VMs, storage, networks and cloud monitoring.
DevOps practices including CI/CD.
Familiar with CloudWatch, ELK or Prometheus for monitoring and logging.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Able to work independently and in a team with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Administer and configure enterprise cloud environments in Azure or AWS.
Provide level 2 and 3 support for cloud issues and fix them quickly.
Provision VMs, storage, and databases on premises and in the cloud with high availability.
Automate cloud deployments with Terraform or similar tools.
Write Python, Bash or PowerShell scripts for backups, scaling and routine tasks.
Tune and optimise cloud components.
