Job summary

Nextlink Solutions in Belgium is seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong databases expertise to administer and optimise enterprise cloud infrastructure and databases. You will support Microsoft Azure and AWS, provisioning VMs, storage and databases across cloud and on-premises environments to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires hands-on scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell, plus automation using Terraform and CI/CD practices. NATO Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Experience managing database systems in cloud and on-prem.
• NATO Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure enterprise Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for cloud-related incidents.
• Provision, maintain and optimise virtual machines, storage resources and database environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, performance and operational stability.
• Manage and optimise cloud components and resource utilisation.
• Automate deployment, configuration and management of Azure and AWS resources using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Develop and maintain Python, Bash or PowerShell scripts to automate routine operational activities.
• Support CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Support incident resolution and collaborate effectively with technical teams, users and stakeholders.
