Job summary

WLG in Belgium is seeking an experienced Cloud and Database Engineer who can navigate both Azure and AWS, manage on-premises and cloud databases, and maintain high uptime.

You will provision and tune VMs, storage, and networks, automate deployments with Terraform, and write scripts in Python/Bash/PowerShell to support backups, scaling, and routine tasks. Strong English is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL in cloud and on-premises.
• Experience with AWS and Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• VMs, storage accounts, virtual networks and cloud monitoring.

A multinational defence organisation near Brussels needs an engineer who is equally at home in Azure or AWS and in the databases running on them and on premises.

What you would bring

• DevOps practice, including CI/CD
• Monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, ELK or Prometheus
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Comfortable working alone and in a team, with a real knack for problem-solving
