Job summary

Anotech in Belgium is seeking a Strategic Buyer to develop and execute procurement strategies for large-scale industrial projects. You will identify and qualify suppliers, lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, and ensure supply chain reliability.

You will negotiate terms, manage contracts, monitor supplier performance, and drive cost reductions while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Finance across international projects. Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, project procurement, or industrial purchasing.
  • Experience in EPC, Energy, Oil & Gas, Process Industries, Manufacturing, or other complex industrial environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies for large-scale industrial projects and ensure cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop supplier base; lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes.

  • Manage supplier agreements, framework contracts, and contract renewals.
  • Monitor contract execution and ensure proper follow-up through contract closure.
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills are highly desirable.
Supplier Performance Management
  • Establish and monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues with suppliers.
  • Promote supplier innovation, collaboration, and long-term partnerships.
Cost Management and Value Creation
  • Lead cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, value engineering, and alternative sourcing.
  • Support budget objectives and profitability targets.
  • Contribute to working capital optimization initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Project Management teams.
  • Support internal stakeholders on procurement-related matters.
  • Participate in strategic projects and business improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement requirements are integrated into project execution plans.
  • Contribute to risk management and overall project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, project procurement, or industrial purchasing.
  • Experience in EPC, Energy, Oil & Gas, Process Industries, Manufacturing, or other complex industrial environments is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations and contract management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
