Job summary

Challenge Handling at Liège Airport, Belgium, seeks a Cargo Officer Import/Export to join a young, dynamic team. The role covers import/export workflow, cargo movements, and customs clearance, with comprehensive training and career growth opportunities.

You will hold a bachelor’s in International Trade or Logistics, be fluent in English, and be willing to work shifts including nights. You are rigorous, proactive, organized, and able to manage high-paced operations in a team.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with minimum level B2.
• Willingness to work night shifts and in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in import/export is a plus and valued.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Import/Export Referent, providing feedback on objectives.
• Report operational issues requiring decision-making support.
• Oversee the import/export workflow (acceptance, release, trucking).
• Monitor and ensure effective customs clearance.
• Collect and verify all required transport documents (mandates, MRN requests, AWB, licenses).
• Register and track cargo movements in the system, ensuring data accuracy.
• Handle special shipments such as dangerous goods, live animals, and pharmaceuticals.

Your Mission

• Work closely with the Import/Export Referent, providing feedback on operational objectives.

Your profile: Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English (B2 minimum) – other langages is a plus!
• Rigorous, quick learner & proactive
• Strong communication skills – both oral and written
• Organized and autonomous, able to handle stress and high-paced operations
• Able to work in a team and available for shift work – including nights
