ACCA Careers is recruiting for a hands-on General Accountant role based in Brussels. You will manage daily accounting tasks, vendor invoices, payments, reconciliations and support closing processes in a dynamic, international group.

You will work with SAP, handle VAT reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings, and assist with CIT reporting. The role offers a structured onboarding, collaborative team, competitive salary and attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• First experience in General Accounting and strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Fluent in Dutch / French, and can handle a conversation in English.
• Analytical, accurate, and well organized, with a hands-on mindset.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and expense claims.
• Manage supplier payments and actively monitor outstanding balances.
• Handle bank transactions and contribute to accurate cash reporting.
• Support VAT and intra-community reporting activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and help ensure the reliability of financial data.
• Play an active role in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Contribute to audit preparation and maintain compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Ensure high-quality, accurate, and consistent financial reporting.
• Support Corporate Income Tax (CIT) preparation and reporting.
• Take part in ad hoc projects and contribute to continuous process improvement.
