Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd. is helping a leading international group strengthen its Belgian finance team with a GL Accountant role in Limburg. You will manage Belgian general ledger, month-end closing and financial reporting while liaising with the international shared-service team.

The position offers a competitive salary up to €4,500 gross per month, plus benefits and genuine long-term career opportunities within an international group. Fluency in Dutch and good English is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in accounting including AP/AR and GL.
• Strong knowledge of month-end closing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Excellent Excel skills and ERP/accounting systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review general ledger transactions and journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.

What will you be doing?

You'll play an important role in the accounting operations of the Belgian entities, working across general ledger activities, month-end closing and financial reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and reviewing general ledger transactions and journal entries.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Working with the international shared-service team in India, reviewing completed work and helping maintain the quality of the Belgian entities' accounts.
• Supporting audits, internal controls and ongoing process improvements.
• Collaborating with colleagues across finance and the wider business.

Who are they looking for?

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable/receivable and some hands-on general ledger experience.
• A solid understanding of month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Someone analytical, organised and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
• Fluent Dutch and good English.

The team is open to candidates with particularly strong profiles and excellent English, even if their Dutch isn't quite at the required level.
