Axis Group in Brussels seeks a legal professional specializing in professional liability within the insurance sector. You will manage claims, investigate liability issues, and communicate decisions to all parties in Dutch and French, while liaising with attorneys as needed.

The role offers a full-time permanent contract, group hospitalization insurance, meal vouchers, remote work two days a week, and a supportive, small-team environment in Brussels near train stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in law.
• Very good knowledge of insurance law with at least 3 years of experience in law or insurance.
• Fluent in Dutch with flawless written Dutch and ability to present in both Dutch and French.

Responsibilities

• Manage claims files for Professional Liability and related liabilities from start to finish and determine the course of action.
• Investigate files and analyse liability issues.
• Communicate acceptance of claims and explain decisions to policyholders, opposing parties and/or their attorneys.
• Liaise with external attorneys during legal proceedings and monitor cases.
• Assess reserves and settle claims.
• Handle cases in both Dutch and French.
• Provide legal assistance to the Secretary General (research, drafting documents).
